My first attempt at using Bronze clay and my new Kiln was interesting.  I noticed that bronze clay dries faster than PMC, so I had to work really fast in kneading and forming my pieces.  I had about 15 pieces cut and ready to fire, but I only loved one. lol  After all of my items were dry, all of these new design ideas popped into my head causing me to scrap the other pieces. Uggh, a day in the home studio with Shanae` lol
My first round with my kiln wasn't as quick as I thought it would me.  The manual was speaking another language to me, I swear I needed Rosetta Stone to understand.  I turned to cooltools for step by step instructions on how to work my machine, she did a great job explaining how to get it going.  Firing my pieces still took about 8 hours instead of 30 min because instead of programming the kiln to quickly meet the needed temperature I gave it time to gradually increase to it.  During that time I worked and finished 2 kumihimo bracelets and watched every video on the Fawn network on Youtube.  If at first you don't succeed... so I'll be trying to work more kinks out next weekend.   I'm going to start working from my sketchbook instead of trying to meet trends, I feel that it works best for me.  I hope you all like my new items coming soon.

Check out the one pair of earrings that made the cut. lol  They are so lightweight and I love the accidental textur color of the bronze.
